Help DBA & Win Big! Calendar Raffle Fundraiser

We need YOUR help, DBA families! We're asking all players to sell Calendar Raffle tickets to support our programs — and there's over $2,000 in prizes up for grabs!

How It Works:

  • 31 chances to win in January 2026 — $2,000 in total cash prizes throughout the month
  • Winners drawn every Sunday evening for the previous week
  • Your ticket can win multiple times! Each day's winner goes back into the drawing
  • Every ticket sold helps fund gym time, referees, and DBA programming

What We're Asking:

  • Each player sells at least 10 raffle tickets
  • Additional tickets are available if you want to sell more (or keep some for yourself!)

Easy Payment:

  • Pay by Venmo using the QR code on your ticket page or on our website
  • Cash and check also accepted

Where Does the Money Go? Every dollar raised goes directly back to YOU — funding gym rentals, referee fees, and keeping DBA programming strong for all our players.

Let's make this our best fundraiser yet, Dedham!

DEDHAM BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION PROGRAMS

Not sure which program is right for your child?
Both Town and Travel Basketball offer great opportunities for Dedham kids to learn the game, build confidence, and have fun. The key difference is the level of competition and commitment. Here’s a quick side-by-side comparison to help you decide:

Dedham Basketball: Town vs. Travel Program Comparison

  Town Basketball Travel Basketball
Purpose Fun, teamwork, and community; all skill levels welcome. Competitive play and advanced skill development.
Grades K–12  (boys and girls) 3–8 (boys and girls)
Tryouts No tryouts — all registered players placed on a team. Tryouts required; players must attend at least one (both recommended). Not all guaranteed a spot.
Season Early December – late February Practices begin in November; games run December – early March.

Games 1 game per week, all in Dedham 1–2 games per weekend (home & away across Metrowest towns).
Coaches Parent volunteers (training and support available). Parent volunteers selected by DBA Travel Committee; must apply annually.
Competition Level Recreational; focus on learning and fun. Competitive; teams play in the Metrowest Basketball League.
Cost $135/player; includes team jersey.  (Family max of $270)
* price increase to $160/player on Nov 16
$380; covers league entry, refs, gym rentals, first time uniforms  (any uniforms after that is an additional fee).
Dual Participation Yes — players can do Town and Travel. Yes — many Travel players also play in Town.
If Not Selected No Tryout for town, all registered players, play. Encouraged to play Town to continue building skills.
Parent Involvement Coaches and referees are always needed — volunteers are essential! Volunteer assistant coaches and team support welcome; head coaches chosen by committee.

Both programs are designed to give Dedham kids the chance to play basketball, learn teamwork, and have fun — whether they’re just starting out or looking for more competitive play!
